Swan Harmony Singers – A community choir in the Foothills of Perth

Swan Harmony Singers
Our choir was formed in 1997 so we have been singing for alomst 30 years in Perth!
We are a not-for-profit community choir and you can find us at the Old Midland Courthouse in Midland, Western Australia.
Members meet weekly to sing a wide range of songs and enjoy the warmth, friendliness and sociability that go with belonging to such a group.
Our choir is fortunate indeed to have experienced and dedicated musician Richard Braham as our Musical Director.
Mundaring Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank are long time supporters and in 2024 we welcomed our newest partner, the City of Swan Midland Public Library.

Becoming a member
We have a three-week new member intake process so that you can come along to 3 weekly practices (preferably consecutively) without charge. If, at any time in this period, you decide you would like to join us, you can complete the application form and this will swiftly be dealt with by the choir committee. April 1st is cutoff time for New Members. The reason for this, is because we have covered a lot of music by then. It is very difficult, even for a practised singer, to join in on pieces that are technically challenging on songs that have already been added to our repertoire. If you are interested in joining the choir please register your details with us:
The music

The songs we sing
The choir sings a wide variety of music including jazz, swing, sacred and pop, plus the occasional classical piece. We sing four-part harmony songs, but don’t let that scare you off!
Although it is a definite advantage, members don’t need to read music, you just need to enjoy singing and be prepared to make a reasonable commitment to attend rehearsals regularly.
