After the COVID-induced difficulties of the last two years, we have returned to something approaching normality this year.
Swan Harmony Singers hold weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at the St Matthews Anglican Church Hall in Guildford.
We meet throughout the year, except for a Christmas break from early December to mid-January.
New members are always welcome. If you’re interested, drop in on a Wednesday evening to see how we operate – you may do this for a total of three rehearsals, free of charge, before deciding whether you would like to join us. Should you decide to join you then pay membership fees, and receive your own personal file of all songs in the current repertoire.
The Songs we sing
The choir sings a wide variety of music including jazz, swing, sacred and pop, plus occasional classical pieces, and we usually present concerts two or three times a year.
We sing four-part harmony songs, but don’t let that scare you off! You don’t need to read music, although that is an advantage; you just need to enjoy singing and be prepared to make a reasonable commitment to attend rehearsals regularly.
We don’t hold auditions and we will make sure you are introduced to a “buddy” who will make sure you are introduced to our choir and that you don’t miss out on a biscuit during the coffee/tea break.
